Management of babies with respiratory distress in the first hour of life

The scope of this clinical aid is to allow for safe assessment and placement of the term infant with signs of respiratory distress. It aims to help guide effective care, manage risk and keep the baby in the optimal environment whilst
reducing inappropriate separation of mother and baby. Whilst it is a guide, it is not prescriptive and should not discourage from asking for support should you think necessary.
